As a community service, Macs for Students (MFS) provides gently used Apple Macintosh computers free of charge to students (traditional and non-traditional) in South Jersey and surrounding areas.

As a subgroup of South Jersey Apple Users Group (SJAUG), Macs for Students volunteers meet monthly to refurbish donated computers and transform them into working systems.

The refurbished units are provided to individuals who would not otherwise be able to obtain a computer. Since its inception in 1998 MFS has also provided computer systems for:

The recipient of a computer is given an introductory packet (including system specifications), an optional 6-month complimentary individual membership to SJAUG, and an invitation to attend monthly SJAUG meetings to learn how to use the Mac.
